In Every Season

If there is one thing that I have learned in the past few weeks is that everything happens for a reason, but one thing I know for sure is that God's timing is always perfect! If your like me then you will always have those questions of "I wonder how this would of  turned out if I would of done this differently?" but the great thing is everything happens in His perfect timing!

Two years ago I was planning on going on a mission trip for the entire summer. Stepping out on faith that the Lord would provide finically, mentally, and spiritually. One of the greatest things to ever experience is the provision of the Lord, watching him provide in ways that you could never imagine was awesome! Days when I had thoughts of "Lord, what have I gotten myself into" or thinking "there is NO way possible that I can meet this next goal" but he would remind me this is my will for your life in this season.
I just remember getting the phone call from my trip advisor telling me that the trip to Haiti was being cancelled and that we could just pray about going on another trip. Being bummed about my trip every time I heard someone say "Well, it just wasn't meant for you to go," I just wanted to sit down and cry because I knew that I was being called to go somewhere. I wouldn't change that summer for anything in the world and the people I met were absolutely amazing. I knew that the Lord was sending me to Nicaragua and it was all apart of His perfect plan. In that season of my life I learned that the Lord will always provide, you just need to trust that he will!

In this season of my life, the Lord has given me the chance to go to Haiti on a mission trip! I along with several others will get the chance to love on God's people for a week in Haiti. I am so excited that the doors have been opened and that he has allowed me that chance to go. As the team prepares for the trip I ask that you remember us in your prayers and that he will provide the needs for each of the team members. He has called each and everyone of us to be his hands and feet, whether you go to a foreign country or stay and witness in your own backyard.

Angel by your side

I have to say that I am probably OBSESSED with this song; however, the very first time I heard it on the radio it spoke to me and continues to every time. The first part if the song says this:

I can't say that everythings okay
'cause I can see the tears your crying
and I can't promise to take the pain away
but you know I wont stop tryin'

As I sit and read or even listen to those words I just have to stop and think that Jesus tells us that everyday and that he is there in every circumstance that he gives us. He sees us when we are hurt and trys everything to soothe the pain.

The chorus goes on and says:
I'll be the angel by your side
I will get you through the night
I'll be the strength you can't provide on your own
'cause when your down and out of time
and you think you've lost the fight
let me be the angle
the angel by your side

Faith..Is it a scary thing?

So this week has been a rough week. Decisions that need to be made have the "I don't know" answer. As I have been struggling with the whole not knowing what's going to happen, when is something going to happen and those sort of questions, I have had this longing for the word of God. As I was having my time with Jesus, I was in the book of Matthew reading chapter 9. The entire chapter is about faith and how the people were healed just because of their faith in Jesus. In this chapter he heals a paralyzed man, Gives an invitation to follow him, raise a dead girl and heals a woman that was bleeding for 12 years and also points out that the workers are few but the harvest is plentiful.
As I was reading the passage I came across this phrase.. "your faith has healed you" and "According to your faith let it be done to you". The question of  if  I have this much faith in everything I did then I could move mountains. It amazes me at how the people watching this had the faith that they did and it is so encouraging to me. Reading the last verses of the chapter "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of  the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into is harvest field."  Can you only imagine if we had the faith of these people what we (and Jesus) could do.

Beauty Is...

As I sat and looked outside at the glummy day I certainly didn't find the beauty. The trees are dead with no leaves and the sky is just so gray.
According to dictionary.com beauty is the quality that gives intense pleasures to the sight or other senses. As I am getting older I am finding it more and more challenging to accept the fact I am single, still in school and have no clue what I want to do with my life. People (myself included) are always wanting to change themselves to make them become more beautiful...but what is that really all about? I read the book captivating and it's about how a woman should be viewed, it also talks about being romanced by God and how he longs to be romanced by us as well and to me that's a beautiful thing. I am human not perfect by any means and sometimes make a big deal out of nothing. I have days where I don't think i am beautiful and then I look at my life and I realize how beautiful my life really is. I don't want this post to be a sappy/feel bad post but for you to really look at how beautiful your life really is!
I am who I am, and that's ok because Jesus made me BEAUTIFUL!

"Don't be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quite spirit, which is so precious to God."

1 Peter 3:3-4

What are you settling for?

Rain makes people do crazy thins. As I am at work with my dear friend Shelby, I have this thought about how thirsty I am and how much I want a REAL Dr. Pepper but doesn't feel like spending $1.25 for a Dr.Pepper (cheap I know). So I walk outside and there is this cooler full of FREE drinks!! I look inside and don't see a Dr. Pepper but I see a diet Dr Pepper. I am trying to be cautious on what I am eating so I settled for a diet Dr. Pepper.
I tell you all of this because I feel like in today's world we just settle for things and never really try for anything more. We as human beings have day to day decisions that we have to make. I am not sure who all reads my blog but it could be a relationship and you just want that person because it's convenient or it could be life decisions with a job and you take one because you feel like there is nothing better, but have you looked? I know that sometimes we just settle for what is there at the time(like my diet Dr. Pepper) and we are not willing to go the extra mile and get what is better!

So what are you settling for?

He's a Little late...but that's OK

Nine months has come and gone..and he is finnaly here!

I am not sure how Asher's mommy feels about  him being here but I do know that I am one happy aunt.

Here is how it all started...

One day my sister text me and said "I have something to tell you" then my heart kind of dropped for a few seconds and then I replied "your pregnant" just saying that as a joke, but BOY was I wrong.
I have a big mouth and like to talk about lots of things and the next text was "YES, but you can't tell anyone".. talk about something hard for me to keep that was it!!!

So then, as the months went on everyone wonders what the sex of the baby will be and we dont have any boys in the family (poor dad) so when we found out it was a boy we were all super excited!!! To let us know what it was the all gave us one of those bubblegum cigars. Once I saw the color blue kee-kee was HAPPY!!

Yes, I ate mine and it was good for about point five seconds and the flavor was gone.

I love to take pictures and I try to make them look like a professioanl took them but they arent that great, but anyways I decide i wanted to take some maternity pictures. So one day my sister comes over and i get busy snapping pictures. With a little editing I think they turned out pretty good.

I was gone two months out of her pregnancey and as I would always skype with her I wouldmake her stand up so I could see how big she was getting!! Nothing compared to when I saw her for the first time in person!

Asher was late and my sister asked if I would rather get the call in the middle of the nght to go to the hospital or go to her house and watch the girls..in my mind I was thinking a call in the middle of the night YEAH RIGHT!! BUT sunday, October 9 I got a call at 5:30 but slept right thru it until my dad comes and tells me that she is on the way to the hospital and they are watching the girls. So later that afternoon the Ezells welcome the most handsome little boy into the world!!!

Special Friends

This past summer I made friends that I know will last a lifetime. I laughed, cried and talked very deep with these people. As I tell you all this, I took a small weekend trip to see one of my BEST friends in the big and so different place of Saint Paul, Minnesota. I have only flown once prior but I put on my big girl pants and flew by myself to see Annie!
Once my plane landed I was SO happy to see this sweet girl standing at the end of the stairs!!

So the next couple of days we had amazing things planned!!! We took a visit to the twins baseball game and unfortunately they lost but it was great to spend them time with my two friends that I met this summer!!

The next couple of days..We went to the lake and bowling and to some horrible play to support her friend, but I can't forget the state fair!!

I took LOTS more pictures but they dont compare to the FUN and EXCITING time I had seeing one of my BEST friends that will always have a place in my heart!!!

~all TANGLED up~

Happy Birthday to Edy!

Come and lets get tangled up in fun as Edy turned four! As me and brittany planned for this years party we wondered what could be better than last year's Areil under the sea party...so...
As I was coming home from the atlanta airport me and edy watched tangled and she knows EVERY word.

As, my mom and I planned we want every birthday to be special and since I dont have any kids I have the best job in the world and that is an aunt. You can be that other mother but then you can be the best friend to or the horse that rides around on all fours and ride two little girls on your back. So if  you know me at all I LOVE to plan and hate anything that isnt planned out. So I started to get tangled up and get the best party decorations a piece of cardboard can make!!

This is all of the party stuff all over the dining room.

My mother and I tried to remember what scene went where and how they looked..So we googled and watched certain parts to make this birthday party just like a four year old would want it to be.

When I look at this picture all I can think of is them  singing

So, I have more pictures but I am having trouble loading them so it might come as a later post!!

Are you tangled in fun?

~Coming Home~

So as most of you know, I have been out of the country this summer doing mission work. Can I just say that it was the BEST summer of my life so far. I was sad to leave and sad to come home but I had all of  these weird emotions going on inside of me. So, we say good bye to our people that we have all come to love so dearly and head to debrief, where we just chill and talk about our awesome experience.

So as all good things come to an end, we all head to our houses. My parents came to pick me up at the airport and I was so happy to see them....in fact I cried but thats no surprise! So on the way home I was under the impression that I could sleep all four hours home.....WRONG!! My niece talked ALL the way home. Telling me everything that has happened and that makes a four year old happy the two months I was gone.

Once we pull into the drive way I was supp\er happy to be in  Dothan, Al. and  to be in my "home". Once out of the car we walk inside where I found my grandparents and my sister with her children. So then my dad says, "Kellie, let me help you take your luggage upstairs." In my mind I am thinking "that is so nice becuase it's almost 50 pounds and i am tired of that suitcase..pleasle!!" I walk to my room and look behind me I found my entire family follow..I was "thinking what the heck is in my room...." I open the door and this is what i find........

Let it RAIN!

Who knew prayer walking could be so powerful? Today we split up into two different teams and did two different things: one groups went door to door and the other group(my group) prayer walked. A few days ago during team time my eyes were opened to the things that go on in the barrios where we visit. So, today as I went around and prayer walked, I feel like I can honestly say for the first time my heart was in the right place so I could truly pray for these people and truly listen to what God had and has to say for my life and the people of the barrio’s.  My eyes are opened in a new way only because I feel that God allowed my heart to be completely his and allowed me to pray and declare truth over these people.

When we headed back we just all felt compelled to just stand and pray over the whole entire barrios.
I come to you, asking that you will join my team to pray over the barrios and that the love of God will just out pour and the can feel convictions when they need it and they can feel the love of God.

That night we land in Managua i was thinking what in the world have I gotten myself into, but now i am loving life!! the next day we went into the barrios and the kids were so much fun!! My team and I swung them around and just enjoyed every minute of it. As we walked around the barrios we just prayed over the house and asked that God would bring healing over them!
